I showed my Film Comedy class "The Miracle of Morgan's Creek" last night and I can't wait till next week to hear their responses. It's a pretty old-fashioned sort of movie and I'm wondering if they found a way to connect with it. It's written and directed by Preston Sturges, who I love and who is a very important filmmaker in the history of film comedy. But his style is so specific, and so different from today's styles, that I have to wonder what the class thought.
